If I change resource setting using "vzctl set VE_ID_HERE --save --VARIABLE_HERE", the new setting will be overwritten when the VE is restarted by HSPc. And if HSPc is used to update the subscription, the customer's manual setting is sometimes changed. Is there any other way I can change the setting without being overwritten?

Resolution

Main VE resources can be tuned as follows.

1. Edit your hosting plan(s) with new resources.

2. Upgrade all VEs subscriptions to this new hosting plan(s) (select a hosting plan, then set new "Non-Billable Resources").

3. Hosting plan -> "Subscription" tab Top > Business Director > Billing Manager > Hosting Plans > YourHostPlan Upgrade Status will show "Ready for upgrade"

4. Then go to Actions > "Upgrade" button and select All subscriptions or choose only needed ones. Press "Next" button.

5. Then you should synchronize Subscription.

Top > Business Director > Billing Manager > Subscriptions > Your_Subscription Button "Synchronize"

After this procedure your VE settings will be applied to your existing VEes with upgraded subscriptions.
