RealServer License error

Symptoms

Real Server will not start from GUI.

Resolution

In most cases the error is license related.

To verify, go to the directory PSP/RealServerG2_7/Logs and open the log file which will show lines line the following

***19-May-04 19:19:45.029 rmserver(1855): The following license file has expired, and will not be used at this time: /usr/local/sphera/SD/PSP/RealServerG2_7/License/0777-12-17-010102035127489.lic. Please contact RealNetworks to obtain a new license file. ***19-May-04 19:19:45.029 rmserver(1855): The server did not detect a license key in the License Key Directory: "/usr/local/sphera/SD/PSP/RealServerG2_7/License". Please locate your license key provided by RealNetworks and copy to the License Key Directory.

This indicates a license failure or requirement of a new license. Contact RealServer for a license.
