Article ID: 3606
Last Review: Feb,07 2008
APPLIES TO:
  • Plesk 8.2 for Windows
  • Plesk 8.3 for Windows

SYMPTOMS

Statistics execution fails with the following error:

C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\bin>statistics.exe --http-web-statistics --process-domains=vakantiesalon.eu --verbose

Bad allocation

or

"bad allocation
at Execute C:\PROGRA~1\SWsoft\Plesk\ADDITI~1\Perl\bin\perl.exe"

CAUSE

Bad allocation error means that there is no enough memory for perl process which is used by AWStats. Usually the error appears on x86 architecture when memory consumption is up to 4 Gb.

Solution

As possible solution it is recommended to:

1. Configure Log Rotation by log size and store not more than 2 logs.

2. Run statistics e.g. twice on day

3. Change web statistics from AWstat to some other - e.g. Urchin (optional)

3. Change hardware and OS to x64 architecture
