Resolved Issues

This hotfix resolves the following issue.

• Upgrade Error Error: (-2147217871) from 10.0.0 to 10.2.0

        Issue: Database backup operation for Ensim databases with size more than 500MB timeouts while upgrading.

        Resolution: Database backup operation for Ensim databases with size more than 500MB succeeds while upgrading.

Time requirements and customer impact

It takes a few minutes to apply the hotfix. During this time, new customers cannot be provisioned, and Ensim Pro control panel is unavailable. 

Installing the hotfix

This section explains how to install the hotfix.

    Installation instructions

        Complete the following steps to install the hotfix.

1. Unzip the hotfix zip file to a temporary directory.
2. Run the EPW1020Patch.exe through command line to upgrade your existing Ensim Pro for Windows to Ensim Pro for Windows 10.2.0.     (Note: This upgrade executable will handle rollback if it fails to upgrade to Ensim Pro for Windows 10.2.0.)

Note: In case of upgrading to Ensim Pro for Windows 2003 v10.2.0, ensure that MSDE is upgraded to MSSQL 2005, before starting the upgrade process.
