[FIX] DNS recursion is reset to “enabled” after logging into the DNS management page on a domain

Symptoms

1. Disable DNS recursion in Plesk

Plesk , Server, DNS, DNS recursion tab, select Deny , Commit

2. Make sure that this setting is reflected in MS DNS

Start, Run, type dnsmgmt.msc,  Right Click on ServerName, Properties, Advanced tab, Disable Recursion check box should be checked

3. Enter DNS settings page on a domain in Plesk

Plesk, Domains, domain.tld, DNS

4. DNS recursion is reset to enabled in MS DNS

Start, Run, type dnsmgmt.msc,  Right Click on ServerName, Properties, Advanced tab, Disable Recursion check box is not checked.

Resolution

This problem has been solved in Plesk version 8.1.1. Consider upgrading Plesk to the latest version.
